About

One person is the point.

Watchstander is Cooper McCall, a builder trained to stay on watch, find root causes, and verify the work.

I am a mechanical engineer from Texas A&M and a nuclear-trained Navy submarine officer who served aboard USS West Virginia, a ballistic missile submarine based in Kings Bay, Georgia.

Watchstanding is not a marketing metaphor I borrowed. On a submarine, someone owns the watch continuously. Procedures matter. Verification matters. If the condition changes, the person on watch acts.

Why this business exists

As a Navy officer recruiter, I optimized and automated team administration that had been consuming more than 20 man-hours each week. I also worked inside Granite Division, my family's small business, and saw how busywork and firefighting pull money and joy away from the main thing.

I have worked hands-on with AI and online development since before ChatGPT existed. I built this website, using AI as a tool. I build every site personally; AI assists with research, drafting, and cleanup; every fact is verified against sources; the judgment, architecture, and accountability are mine.

I am getting out of the Navy, and I am not going back to a submarine. The work I want is root causes, efficiency, and giving small businesses serious technology without requiring them to become experts in search, automation, databases, hosting, content, ads, or AI.

My commitments

  • Your site can stay current with the parts of your business that change, including social content and inventory where those connections make sense.
  • You can edit your site yourself.
  • Your domain, content, and data are not locked in.
  • Results should be measurable, not hidden behind an agency report you cannot verify.
  • If something breaks, I will stay up all night to fix it.

The short version

Someone is on watch, and you know exactly who it is.
